The movie "Wanted" is based upon Mark Millar's explosive graphic novel series and helmed by the stunning visualist director Timur Bekmambetov.

"Wanted" tells the story of one invisible drone's transformation into a dark avenger. In 2008, the world will be introduced to a superhero for a new millennium: Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy, star of the Best Picture 2008 Oscar nominated movie "Atonement").

In "Wanted," 25-year-old account manager Wesley (James McAvoy) was the most pathetic, cube-dwelling hypochondriac the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend cheated on him daily and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this weakling would never amount to anything. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die a slow, clock-punching death.

"Red Roses And Petrol" - The black comedy movie "Red Roses And Petrol," starring Oscar nominee Malcolm McDowell, explores the complex dynamics of love, life and the loss of a family member with delightfully scathing humor and surprising plot twists. The Happening

"The Happening" - In M Night Shyamalan's "The Happening" Mark Wahlberg plays a man who takes his family on the run when the world turns upside and a cataclysmic natural crisis threatens to end the world. As usual, with M Night Shyamalan films, details are scarce. You'll have to wait to see "The Happening" in an actual movie theater, Friday The 13th of June 2008 to find out exactly what it's all about.

We all hope that "The Happening" will be a million times better than Shyamalan's last film, the stinker, "Lady In The Water."

20th Century Fox, also, is hoping that "The Happening" happens to be a monsterous hit at the box office. Warner Bros, who released Shyamalan's "Lady In The Water," threw him and his script for "The Happening" out to the curb.

Telemobil aduce finantare din China pentru infrastructura

Compania Telemobil a incheiat cu China Development Bank, in luna mai, un acord de finantare de 220 milioane de euro, suma destinata finantarii programului operatorului telefonie mobila de dezvoltare a infrastructurii.

Contactat de Mediafax, directorul de comunicare al Telemobil, Carmen Lazar, a confirmat incheiera acordului de finantare, dar nu a dorit sa ofere detalii privind imprumutul.
La inceputul lunii ianuarie 2008, Telemobil a anuntat ca a selectat producatorul chinez de echipamente si solutii de comunicatii ZTE ca partener si furnizor oficial pentru extinderea si dezvoltarea retelelor sale, respectiv CDMA 450 MHz si 3G, in banda de frecventa de 2,1 GHz.

Telemobil opereaza reteaua de telefonie Zapp Mobile din luna decembrie 2001.
Lansarea comerciala a serviciilor de telecomunicatii de generatia a treia (3G) in reteaua Zapp va avea loc cel mai tarziu in toamna acestui an, urmand sa acopere un numar de 19 orase, potrivit unei declaratii a directorului general al operatorului, Chris Bataillard, din luna aprilie.

Alaturi de Capitala, celelalte 18 orase acoperite de reteaua 3G a Telemobil vor fi Timisoara, Pitesti, Craiova, Arad, Oradea, Sibiu, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, Sibiu, Targu-Mures, Buzau, Constanta, Ploiesti, Braila, Bacau si Iasi.

"Prin incheierea acestei etape in dezvoltarea retelei, peste 5,5 milioane de romani vor fi in zona de acoperire a retelei 3G operata de Telemobil, adica 26% din populatia tarii", a declarat atunci seful operatorului.

Reteaua Zapp operata de Telemobil se bazeaza pe tehnologia CDMA, dezvoltata de compania americana Qualcomm, in banda de frecventa de 450 MHz.

"Take Out" - The movie "Take Out" is a day-in-the-life of Ming Ding (Charles Jang), an illegal Chinese immigrant working as a deliveryman for a Chinese take-out shop in New York City. Ming is behind with payments on his huge debt to the smugglers who brought him to the United States. The collectors have given him until the end of the day to deliver the money that is due. After borrowing most of the money from friends and relatives, Ming realizes that the remainder must come from the day's delivery tips. In order to do so, he must make more than double his average daily income. The story follows Ming on his deliveries throughout the upper Manhattan neighborhood where social and economic extremes exist side by side. Intercutting between Ming's deliveries and the daily routine of the restaurant, "Take Out" presents a harshly real look at the daily lives of illegal Chinese immigrants in New York City.

Kung Fu Panda Fights The Zohan

It's the battle of the comedians this weekend - at the movie box office. Jack Black, in animated form, in the Dreamworks Animation movie "Kung Fu Panda" vs. Adam Sandler in his requisite summer comedy, this time as a Mossad agent posing as a hairdresser in the United States, in "You Don't Mess With The Zohan." Ha ha... not. Our bet on which movie will take the crown for #1 at the movie box office? "Kung Fu Panda," simply because there hasn't been a film for the whole family - including the tykes - since "Horton Hears A Who." In addition to the two marginally funny films, one geared towards the under tween crowd, the other the post tween crowd, there are a number of limited releases hitting select movie theaters. The Incredible Hulk: Early Positive Reviews Hit the Net

When all is said and done, will The Incredible Hulk take the spot on our Fave Movies of Summer ‘08 listicles previously reserved for Indy and Spielberg? For months, the redo’s marketing, CGI, behind the scenes differences, and purpose have been scrutinized beneath formidable anticipation for The Dark Knight, Iron Man and Hellboy 2. Early reviews are hitting the Net and it appears that the latest Marvel tale, from director Louis Leterrier and star Ed Norton, is a worthy contender and then some. I’ve compiled excerpts from what’s currently being said on the Net. If you’ve attended an early screening, let us hear all about it in the comments, or email/Twitter us. First off, The Incredible Hulk recently screened at the championed Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas and the locals and spies over at AICN report the following…

“I was afraid going into this movie that the CGI would take me out of the movie, but it never did. The cinematography and CGI were beautifully shot. I loved the Hulk as much in this movie as I did in the comic books. …Ed Norton was incredible as Bruce Banner. But the Hulk? The Hulk truly came to life for me for the first time on film. …Is it as wonderful as Iron Man? No, but it is still a pretty damn good superhero film that continues to give me hope for the future Marvel films in the works.” - CheriBomb

The following guy nitpicks at Liv Tyler’s performance (”she’s always out of breath…”), but he’s even more excited. Given his alias, I can only imagine where and in what circumstance he typed the following…

“Really, let’s not even worry about the thin plot, the point of anything Hulk is SMASH! …In short, the geekiest comparison I can make is to Star Trek:consider Ang Lee’s Hulk to be Star Trek:The Motion Picture, a long drawn out effects heavy cerebral film clearly crafted with a fetishistic love; and consider The Incredible Hulk to be The Wrath Of Khan:shorter, faster, pure ass kicking all the way through.” - The Human Burrito

Yes mom, I went to J-school to quote a spy named The Human Burrito. And if said spy is actually a plant dressed up like my favorite food, I have to say his Star Trek comparison still makes me want to check it out. Other spy reports: This next guy admits that the CGI Hulk is pretty, uh, CGI-y and yet the effects do not “distract” from the overall badassery. He also says that the film is chockful of Easter Eggs and gushing with geek references, something we keep hearing over and over…

“The real surprise for me was Tim Roth - he’s not been this good for years and he’s great as special forces soldier Emil Blonsky, even if his character does get lost a bit towards the end and he does look a bit like Harry Potter’s Dobby at one point. There’s one sequence in particular that has me drooling at the prospect of Marvel’s upcoming Captain America movie.” - rjl1138, NYC

Yeah, but what about Professor Dark and Serious Movies Only, will that chief like it? Probably not and who cares, but Massawyrm says…

“The Incredible Hulk fucking rules. …Every bit as good as Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk takes the material we all love, gets at the heart of what makes it tick and then puts it on the screen FOR ADULTS. It’s dark. It’s heavy.”

Oh, and what about AICN’s Harry Knowles?

Universal has begun airing two new television spots for Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The first one acts kind of like a primer, explaining the origins of the character. The second tv spot is more traditional. Check them both out below.

Early Transformers 2 Secrets Revealed

Want to find out more about the Transformers 2 scene Michael Bay is shooting at Bethlehem Steel? Or how about the shoot scheduled at the Smithsonian? We have all the details. As always, if you don’t want anything spoiled, skip it! And while I’m 95% sure this information is legit, there is always the chance that this could be leaked misinformation from Bay (although it doesn’t seem like it). But for your safety, treat everything below as rumor.

The opening of Transformers 2 takes place at a Steel Factory in Shanghai, China (filmed in Bethlehem, PA), where the Autobots, the British SAS (Matthew Marsden as “Graham” and Andrew Howard) and Captain Lennox’s Military team (Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson) are chasing after a Decepticon Audi RS8. Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are not featured in the opening chase sequence.

The autobots include a pair of robots called The Twins, which join together to form an Ice Cream Truck (pictured right). An ice cream truck is a great disguise for a transformer as no one would suspect. I’m guessing that one of the twins is white and the other is pink (but this is just a guess). This appears the be the coolest new addition to the autobot line-up. There’s one sequence where the Twins are speeding down a Shanghai street and split apart around a group of chinese children in the street, which should be pretty cool looking. At another point the truck crashes and the Twins split in two and have a brotherly fight. Yes, it looks like the comic tone of the original film is back.

Also involved in the chase is a hot pink ninja style motorcycle with black highlights which turns into Arcee (toy pictured below), a go-cart named Wheels / Wheelbot and Stinger (possibly a Porsche). Lennox’s team meets up with Ironhide on a Shanghai Street. I’m not sure exactly what happens but it appears that the Deception R8 escapes. All in all it seems like a pretty bad ass chase sequence.

The production has now moved to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum for a scene which takes place late into the film (I’m guessing about an hour into the film). Bumblebee and The Twins are left in the parking lot as Sam (Shia), Mikaela (Fox), Sam’s college roommate/friend Leo (a new supporting character played by The Wire’s Ramon Rodriguez), and Sector 7 Agent Simmons (John Turturro) distract the guards and sneak into the Smithsonian after hours. Simmons uses a radiation tracker (a call back to the first film) to find a SR-71 Blackbird in the museum.

Sam uses something called the “Splinter” (maybe a tiny piece of the alspark?) to activate the SR-71, which transforms into Jetfire. Jetfire as a Blackbird spy plane? Very Cool. For some reason he has a Decepticon logo, not sure why. Maybe he switched sides?

The involvement of a Constructicon Earth Mover pretty much confirms the rumor that the Constructicons and Devastator might appear in the film.

I’m sure we’ll learn more in the coming weeks as there is 80 more days of shooting to go. But so far what we do know has me very excited for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.

Continutul episodic promis pentru jocul Grand Theft Auto IV care urma sa fie lansat in toamna acestui an, a fost amanat pana la inceputul anului 2009. Anuntul a fost facut de distribuitorul jocul, compania Take-Two. Reprezentantii companiei au declarat ca aceasta amanare este cauzata nu de problemele de dezvoltare ale jocului ci de echilibrarea portofoliului companiei.

78% din veniturile Take-Two in acest semestru au fost realizate din vanzarea jocului GTA4. Take-Two nu a dat amanunte despre pretul cu care va fi vandut continutul episodic pentru GTA 4 si nici nu a confirmat sau negat lansarea unei versiuni pentri PC a acestui joc.

Guinness World Records a confirmat ca jocul Grand Theft Auto IV a devenit cel mai bine vandut produs din lume, depasind vanzarile celui mai bine vantut film, joc sau carte care detinea recordul pana atunci. Asta dupa ce doar in prima zi dupa lansarea GTA IV in 29 aprilie 2008 s-au vandut peste 3,6 milioane de exemplare in intreaga lume care au generat incasari de 310 milioane de dolari. In prima saptamana de la lansarea lui GTA IV incasarile au depasit 500 de milioane de dolari, iar jocul se mentine pe prima pozitie in topul celor mai bine vandute jocuri din lume.

Saints Row 2 se lanseaza pe PC

THQ distribuitorul jocului Saints Row 2 a anuntat ca acesta va fi lansat si in versiunea pentru PC in 14 octombrie 2008 in SUA şi 3 zile mai tarziu in Europa.. Lansarea jocului era anuntata initial pentru Xbox 360 şi PlayStation 3.

Actiunea din Saints Row 2 se petrece tot in Stillwater oras care, promit producatorii, va fi considerabil mai mare fata de primul joc din serie. Cateva dintre noutatile pe care jocul le aduce sunt customizarea mai detaliata a personajelor si a masinilor, mai multe misiuni secundare si evident, mai multe tipuri de arme si munitie. Compania Philips doreste sa-si reafirme pozitia de top din domeniul displayurilor si face acum un anunt pe cale sa surprinda intr-un mod placut pe multi dintre noi.

Concret ei au prezentat un nou televizor cu cristale lichide care beneficiaza in premiera de o tehnologie 3D ( denumita WOWvx), care face imaginile mult mai apropiate de ralitate.
Ecranul de 52 de inci, auto-stereoscopic este Full HD ( rezolutie de 1920x1080), are o luminozitate de 700cd/m2, contrast real de 2000:1 si un timp de raspuns de 8 milisecunde, parametri suficienti pentru vizionarea oricarui tip de imagine ar fi nevoie.
Desi deocamdata este inca un prototip, Philips sustine ca acest model de televizor va fi disponibil incepand cu al patrulea trimestru al acestui an, dar nu se stie inca la ce pret va fi oferit.

Orange este singurul operator de telecomunicatii care detine drepturile de difuzare pe mobil a continutului video din meciurile UEFA EURO 2008.In perioada 7 - 29 iunie, clientii Orange vor avea la dispozitie in portalul Orange World un mini-site dedicat UEFA EURO 2008 pe care il vor putea accesa gratuit si in care vor putea vedea videoclipuri cu cele mai importante faze ale meciurilor, transmise la cateva momente dupa desfasurarea live acestora, precum si rezumatele tuturor meciurilor din campionat. Clientii Orange pot alege sa primeasca mesaje de notificare pe telefonul mobil ori de cate ori sunt postate noi videoclipuri.

Postul de muzica MTV si-a lansat ID de messenger, devenind astfel prima televiziune din Romania care a adoptat acest stil de comunicare, pentru a-si cunoaste mai bine publicul si a comunica eficient, informeaza un comunicat remis de postul de televiziune.

Conceptul de Netbook tot mai la moda

Marii producatori de computere se orienteaza catre modele de laptop-uri de dimensiuni reduse si cu un design mai practic, numite "netbooks", mult mai ieftine decat notebook-urile clasice, pentru a evita scaderea vanzarilor, intr-o economie globala care da semne de slabiciune, potrivit Reuters.



Companiile Acer Inc si AsusTek Computer Inc, doi dintre cei mai importanti producatori de PC-uri, componente si periferice la nivel global, au prezentat, in aceasta saptamana, la expozitia Computex din Taiwan, modele de laptop-uri simplificate, destinate utilizarii zilnice, pentru navigarea pe Internet, lucrul cu documente sau jocuri pentru utilizatorul entry-level, care nu necesita putere mare de procesare.Prin lansarea acestor laptop-uri, corporatiile din industria IT spera sa deschida un nou segment de piata, care sa se adreseze nevoilor de mobilitate si ergonomie ale clientilor, dar si sa atraga consumatorii cu un buget redus."Am putea dubla cu usurinta volumul pietei de computere portabile cu acest dispozitiv (netbook-ul)", a declarat presedintele Acer, Gianfranco Lanci.

Alti mari jucatori din industria de profil, precum Hewlett-Packard (HP) si Dell, vor lansa modele similare in a doua jumatate a anului, potrivit analistilor.In viziunea sefului Acer, piata netbook-urilor va ajunge sa genereze vanzari anuale de 40-45 de milioane de unitati in 2009, in timp ce producatori de chip-uri Intel anticipeaza 50 de milioane de astfel de laptop-uri livrate in 2011.Potrivit analistului JP Morgan Alvin Kwock, preturile netbook-urilor vor varia, in acest an, intre 300 si 500 de dolari pe unitate, fata de costul mediu al unui laptop clasic, de 1.500 de dolari.Sursa: Reuters

Romania in atentia Yahoo! in privinta pulicitatii online

Romania, Turcia si unele dintre statele din Asia de Sud-Est se numara printre cele mai promitatoare piete in domeniul publicitatii online, a declarat, marti, Prashant Mehta, vicepresedinte pentru pietele emergente al furnizorului de servicii online Yahoo!

"Aceste piete se apropie de un moment de referinta. Odata cu cresterea gradului de penetrare a Internetului, asistam la un interes sporit pentru serviciile de publicitate online", a aratat Mehta.El a spus ca, in Romania si Turcia, precum si in Vietnam, Filipine si Malaezia, gradul de penetrare a Internetului este de peste 20%.In prezent, publicitatea online din statele emergente atrage doar 2% din sumele totale in dolari cheltuite in acest sector, comparativ cu peste 15% in Marea Britanie si 10% in Statele Unite.Yahoo! anticipeaza ca, in urmatorii trei ani, veniturile obtinute de companie din publicitatea online pe pietele emergente vor inregistra un ritm de crestere superior ratei de 30% consemnata la nivelul industriei, in conditiile in care numarul utilizatorilor Internetului este in crestere, inclusiv prin intermediul telefoanelor mobile.Peste 130 de milioane de utilizatori ai Internetului folosesc serviciile Yahoo! pe pietele emergente din Asia de Sud-Est, India si America Latina si 500 de milioane la nivel mondial.Mehta a spus ca numarul de utilizatori ai serviciilor online prin telefoane mobile va creste de 2-5 ori mai rapid pe pietele emergente decat in cazul serviciilor traditionale de Internet.Yahoo!, al doilea mare furnizor de servicii online dupa Google, intentioneaza sa aplice pe pietele mergente o strategie agresiva de dezvoltare a retelei de vanzari, marketing si de personal tehnic si sa mareasca investitiile in infrastructura, cum ar fi in centre de date.Sursa: Yahoo!

Doi troieni şi un virus sunt în topul ameninţărilor informatice din România, în luna mai

Trojan.Clicker.CM, Trojan.Js.Wonka.UQ şi Win32.Jeefo.A sunt în topul ameninţărilor informatice în România, potrivit unei statistici privind cele mai răspândite ameninţări informatice pe calculatoarele personale ale utilizatorilor din România, se arată în comunicatul de presă al BitDefender.

Pe primul loc în topul lunii mai, cu un procent de infectare de 3.96%, se află Trojan.Clicker.CM, troianul care afişează reclame prin deschiderea de ferestre noi în browsere. În acest scop, troianul foloseşte o serie de trucuri pentru a putea "ocoli" antivirusul Norton, dacă acesta e instalat în prealabil pe calculatorul vizat.

Pe locul doi se află Trojan.Js.Wonka.UQ, cu 2.85% procent de infectare, care este un script Java ce poate infecta calculatoarele printr-o simplă vizitare a unei pagini web care îl conţine, dacă browser-ul folosit este vulnerabil. În momentul executării scriptului Java, troianul downloadează şi execută alţi viruşi, deschizând uşa tuturor altor ameninţări posibile.

Pe locul trei se află un virus apărut în 2003, Win32.Jeefo.A, cu un procent de 2.40%, care infectează fişiere şi care e periculos nu numai prin răspandire, ci şi prin faptul că printr-o greşeala de programare, anumite tipuri de fişiere, odată infectate, sunt iremediabil corupte şi nu se mai pot recupera date din ele.

"Prezenţa lui Jeefo.A în topul nostru arată cât de răspândită este practică de a partaja fişiere în reţea în România. Virusul se răspândeşte prin fişierele infectate, lipsa unui antivirus pe multe calculatoare făcând ca aceşti viruşi să nu poată fi eradicaţi", a declarat şeful laboratorului de analiză de viruşi al BitDefender, Sorin Dudea.

BitDefender este producătorul unei linii de soluţii de securitate a datelor atestate pe plan internaţional. Soluţiile BitDefender sunt distribuite printr-o reţea globală de parteneri (distribuitori şi reselleri) în peste 100 de ţări din întreaga lume.

Nou design pentru Eee PC si specificatii detaliate pentru desktopul Eee

Asus a anuntat cu ocazia Computex noi variante ale cunoscutului Eee PC, si dintre ele se ramarca Eee PC 901 care vine in premiera cu designul schimbat fata de standardul stabilit de prima versiune de Eee PC (701).

O noutate este reprezentata si de procesoarele care vor fi folosite la acest model, Intel ATOM, care vor oferi pe langa performante mai mari si o autonomie sporita ( intre 4 si 6 ore) fata de versiunea cu procesor Intel Celeron, restul specificatiilor fiind aceleasi cu ale Asus Eee 900.
Tot cu aceasta ocazie au fost prezentate detalii complete ale desktopului din familia Eee, denumit Eee Box B202 si care cantareste numai un kilogram, astfel, el va avea un procesor din seria Atom de 1,6GHz si foloseste chipsetul 945GSE.
La capitolul conectivitate regasim doua porturi USB 2.0, Gigabit LAN, Wireless-Lan 802.11n, cititor de carduri si un port DVI.

Eee Box va fi pus in vanzare incepand cu luna Iulie si va costa 269 USD si avea Linux, 1Gb de memorie RAM, HDD de 80Gb), 299 de dolari pentru versiunea cu Linux, 2Gb de memorie si HDD de 160Gb sau 299 de dolari pentru versiunea cu XP Home Edition, 1Gb de memorie si HDD de 80Gb, singurul dezavantaj al tuturor versiunilor fiind dat de lipsa unei unitati optice integrate.

Competitie pentru Intel din partea Nvidia

Nvidia se tine de promisiunile facute cu ceva vreme in urma si a anuntat ca intra in competitie cu Intel in ce priveste dispozitivele ultraportabile de genul mini-calculatoarelor (care folosesc de exemplu Intel Atom).

Solutia propusa de Nvidia este denumita Tegra si este practic o solutie unificata CPU, GPU, Northbridge si Southbridge intr-un chip de dimensiuni foarte mici.
Procesorul va fi construit pe arhitectura ARM 11 si Tegra va avea doua serii propuse pentru utilizatori.
Prima va fi Tegra APX2500 care este destinat folosirii in telefoane si “Mobile Internet Devices”, care va permite de exemplu rularea a zece ore de film in format HD si pana la 100 de ore de muzica, in plus va putea fi folosit si la produse de genul PND ( Personal Navigation Device), playere multimedia (video), sau MP3 Playere si intre tehnologiile implementate la APX2500 gasim decodare HD 720p, grafica avansata cu support pentru OpenGL ES 2.0, Direct3D Mobile si suport PureVideo.
Modelul Tegra CSX 600/650 este destinat spre folosire la laptopuri de mici dimensiuni insa el va avea o mica problema pentru ca nu are arhitectura X86, asadar nu va putea rule sisteme de operare Windows standard (cum ar fi XP sau Vista).

Acumulator cu automomie super-extinsa

Hitachi Maxell in asociatie cu Universitatea Nagasaki, NIAIST si Fuji Heavy Industries, au dezvoltat un nou model de acumulator Li-ION ce poate oferi o autonomie de pana la douazeci de ori comparabil cu acumulatorii clasici.

Modelul nou dezvoltat, renunta la o componenta de baza si anume cobaltul, a carui pret creste destul de mult costul acumulatorilor. De asemenea, cei care au cercetat si au ajuns la acest tip de acumulator considera ca pretul final va fi unul destul de ieftin iar procesul de fabricatie va fi unul destul de simplul pentru fabricarea la scara mare.
